Whats happening with your LIG and the Hampshire Learning Disability Partnership Board?

Check our new LD Charter launched on the 5th September 2018!

LIGs meet usually 11 times a year, monthly,in your local area and everyone becomes a member when they join. If you are coming with a big group, please check with the admin officer first (because of space!). We talk about loads of things in LD: it can be health, safeguarding, advocacy etc. We also monitor the LD plan on a local scale.

The Partnership Board meets four times a year and is for members only. The Board comprises of 10 service users (LIG reps), 5 parents carers (parent/carer LIG rep), one rep from Adult services, one rep from Health and two co-chairs.The service users are supported by advocacy workers. The main role of the Board is to monitor the LD plan. We also talk about big relevant issues. We also work on specific topics.

You are welcome to come as a guest (please check with the project support officer first) but it is really important that observers do interfere with the meeting.
