Local Implementation Groups (LIGs)

Local implementation groups are very important because they share the views and experiences of local people from different parts of Hampshire with the Learning Disability PB. The LIGS have members from their local area. They are also a good place to talk about what is important in your area.
Reps from the LIGS attend the Partnership Board, there are 2 service user reps and 1 carer rep from each LIG who sit on the Partnership Board.
What the LIGs do?
  • Pass information to everyone and make sure people know what is happening where they live.
  • Promote the Learning Disability Review Plan and check the promises in the plan to tell the Partnership Board how big organisations are doing in their area.
  • Work together to make things better for people with learning disabilities, their families and carers.
  • Share ideas and support each other with the things that are important in their area and in their life.
  • Click on the map to find out more about your local LIG .
